Drive Less Challenge – more fun with groups!
One of the cool things about the Drive Less Challenge is that you can participate with groups – a school group, co-workers, a neighborhood group, a club. Palo Alto High School, Escondido Elementary School, Hewlett Packard, NASA Ames, Acterra, Old Mountain View Neighborhood, Western Wheelers Bike Club- these are all examples of groups that are participating together in the Drive Less Challenge.
When you’re in a group, you can see how your group is doing alltogether to fight climate change, compare progress to other groups, and compare how you’re doing with others in the group. You can browse and see what groups already exist, and make a new group if your group isn’t signed up yet. Then, invite more of your friends to join the group. You can join as may groups as you want.
If you’ve already started the Drive Less Challenge, go to the Drive Less Challenger, try joining a group and inviting more friends, for more fun and more environmental impact. If you haven’t signed up yet, now’s a great time – it’s not too late! If you pre-registered before Earth Day but haven’t started yet, go to the Drive Less Challenge site and click “Take the Challenge” to get started.
Want to share a picture of your group and tell the world you’re working together to travel green? go to the Drive Less Challenge site and click “share your story” – you can add a picture and a quick description of your group.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
