What biking taught me about driving
On a bike I learned it was high effort to accelerate up to the stop sign and stop at the last moment. So I learned to look ahead for the stop sign and coast up to it. I also learne it took too much energy to accelerate rapidly away from the stop. So I accelerate a a moderate pace. I now do the same things in a car. Sometimes I can see a red light in the distance and start my fuel saving coasting in time to avoid the need to stop before it turns green fom me.
